Pre Development: Photoshoot Planning

. What is the topic of my 300 word article?

arts importance and its relationship with teens in todays society

2.  How can I illustrate that text in images? In other words, what images would be suitable as  illustrations for that text? What should those images depict?

Images of of teenagers interacting with art mediums, teenagers creating art

3. Who is going to be the model?

A black/African American woman in her teens

4.  What mise en scene am I going to use for the photo shoot? Where am I going to take these  photos (LOCATION)? What costumes am I going to use? In other words, how is the model  going to be dressed for the photo shoot?

for my photos background, I want either a full color background with my model as the main focus, or a background in a art class. My model may wear art materials such as an apron and hold art tools, paintbrushes, pencils..etc.

5. What camera shots should I use for the front cover? What camera shots should I use for  the double page spread and the table of contents?

for my cover Ill try either a medium shot or a close up shot of my model. As for my double page spread I'm considering a wide shot, over the shoulder, or bug eye view of either the same model or a different one.

6. How should I frame the image for the front cover, so I have enough space in the photo to add  my text elements (masthead, coverlines and other elements such as the dateline, barcode,  and any other additional elements (skylines, straplines, flashes and puffs, etc.)

for my magazine cover image I believe placing it in the center or a specific side would go well with the angles I plan to take, it would also give me more area to work with for the other necessary text elements according to my magazine cover mock up.
