for this lesson I used adobe InDesign. I like the simple design of the interface and the simplicity of the editing option, The similarity to photoshop is also very convenient for me since I already have experience in that application. I did find importing images a bit challenging and frustrating. Overall I can see myself using InDesign for more professional looking covers for my magazine and yearbook, for either text or images.

Ancillary Task: Adjust Facial Expressions
With the new tools and techniques that I've learned in this lesson I am confident that I will be able to edit and adjust my magazine images in a more professional manner than before. Using the liquify tool I can correct imperfections on future models or images tat I import from the web. I can edit different features on the face such as the eyes, lips, nose and even the head shape. The face tool would be my main method of going about this technique until I learn other methods. The liquify tool can also be used for other images besides the face of a person that I believe I will be using, such as animals or other views of the upper body. The possibilities of either exaggerating facial expressions or simplifying/correcting characteristics of the face to my vision for the magazine.

Ancillary task: background, selections, and blending
What did you learn? Did you experience any difficulties? How can you incorporate these tasks into the development of your product?
from this lesson I learned how to use the quick selection tool, using the layers, and blending options on my images. The process wasn't too difficult since I have experience using Photoshop. Using the selection tool I have the options to create collages or unique scenery for my magazine and using the blending tools enhance my image, whether that be blending images or changing their properties.

Photo Corrections
EDITED
UNEDITED
With the new techniques I've been taught I will be able to edit my own magazine more effectively and make quality work. With the use of the spot healing brush I can fix blemishes and acne on any of my models for my magazine. The spot healing brush can also help me with tiding up scenery if need be to further bring the quality of my camera shots. I've also learned how to increase and decrease vibrancy/saturation. Being able to fix my photos if they are to dark or if my photos aren't bright enough will be a helpful tool to a beginner photographer like myself. And the use of the text tool will be very important for a majority of my magazine. Knowing how to edit text and where to place them with enhance the overall image of my magazine cover to a more professional level.
