During the design process of my magazine cover and contents pages, I made sure to keep in mind the information I had gathered from previous surveys and mock up sheets to influence my choice of layouts. I kept to the 'house' format for my magazine cover, utilizing the main image as the a point of focus, while placing the master head and title around the image. The main image will help give my audience an idea as what's inside the magazine and its genre , which I chose to be a female black teenager with art tools, which aligns with my target audience. My model is presented in a casual upper garment which most teens wear while she is adorned with artistic elements such as brush strokes and pant splatter, emphasizing her creative nature an difference but also similarity to other teens in this generation. The splashes of color from the models face balance well with the warm block of color in the background, drawing attention of viewers. The main colors I chose where a a warm yellow accented with cool whites and reds for the text, which where cinzel bold. The combination of both the chosen colors and fonts aid to set the tone of my magazine, which is cultured and refined, similar to the art that would be presented in the magazine itself. The content spread also follow a similar style with colors and image placements, placing an importance on the images and how they represent the magazine. The images on the content pages coincide with the main magazine image, representing influential art and the artist of our generation in a casual setting. The addition details of brush strokes and lines of color help contrast the colors and bring cohesion to the pages.
